I see a bunch of people complaining about grammar, but I'm not seeing it. The most egregious mistake is in the title, missing an 'are'. It is also clear a number of people here haven't bothered reading the actual article.

As such, any laws requiring such IDs to vote represent an unacceptable barrier between eligible voters and their ability to exercise their constitutional rights. I say this despite the fact I have the required ID. Just because it doesn't affect me, doesn't make it any more acceptable.

True, and personally I would be fine with voter ID laws, IF the required IDs were free and easily acquired by the poor and less fortunate members of society. This is not true in the US.
