The CR is obviously a controversial piece of legislation, but it contains a permanent pay raise for federal wildland firefighters. Senate Passes Legislation Permanently Increasing Wildland Firefighter Base Pay.
The measure now becomes law, ending the constant threat of a pay cliff.
