Mom is back home. It was touch & go for a few days BUT she is still not 'there'

So my Moms (78 yrs) side is Sicilian. Dad (80 yrs) just came back out to the kitchen to ask if I knew she had another brother. An uncle that may still be alive but I have not met, at least not that I know of.

Chicken thighs are almost done. The half turkey is not yet. After we take the chicken off the ribs, ham, and what ever other meat we have will go on.
Drip pan has spiced rum, water, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and nutmeg. The wood in the smoker box is a fruit wood and oak.

In very simple terms a CPap machine keeps you breathing correctly at nite.
My mom told the drs that yes she uses it. No she does not. Hence why the carbon monoxide built up & she was very close to dying.

They are keeping her to get the CM levels down. Dr told Dawn & Alicia (my sister & my brothers wife) that if they had waited another 24 hrs she would have been dead. That is how high the levels were.

An hour before the flight home from Philly I got a call that 911 was going to be called for my mom.
Landed back in LA & found that since she has COPD & is on oxygen, she was breathing in oxygen but not breathing out enough carbon monoxide. She is now in the hospital and they are lowering her levels.
