Today the first team member Departement for the Ross Sea Marginal Ice Zone voyage. Marta Stentella bringing our wave-ice buoys and other equipment to Xue Long II. Looking forward to work with our Chinese n International colleagues.

Extended ferocious thunderstorm around midnight south of Nipaluna/Hobart, lutruwita/Tasmania. BIG downpour. Hen wirh chicks ok for now in fully enclosed fruitpatch (aka protection from white goshhawk).... but need to watch out for flooding.
