Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing.

They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays.

The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k.

Wondering whether the language used by meteorologists is becoming more precise, more technical, more hyperbolic or some combination of all three. Case in point, the severe wind storms on the west coast (a perfectly apt and understandable description) have become “cyclone bombs.” Does that term help?
