How does the media impact victim blame in acquaintance rape? Gravelin et al. showed that victim blame in a news article produced greater victim blame toward that victim, as well as an unrelated victim! Content analyses also showed an overemphasis on stranger (not acquaintance) rape in news articles!

We’re SO excited about this new study by Vial et al. showing that, across two studies, people who accommodated other people’s sexism were regarded as sexist themselves, and this effect was strongest when a man accommodated another man.

Excited to share my first post about a new paper! Our research shows that when a woman confronts gender-based discrimination by distancing herself from women ("I'm not like other women"), she's viewed as negatively as one who doesn't challenge discrimination. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....
