So, what, exactly, was your solution? As people went hungry and Federal workers continued to work without pay and the Republicans were happy to inflict the pain. I have no idea if this deal is good or not, but it’s forcing the Republicans to negotiate on healthcare, or take full blame.

Bullshit! If you are doing your best Bernie Bro imitation over this what was your endgame on this. Real people were being hurt. The Republicans are being forced into a corner on healthcare and will own the next shutdown if they do nothing. If you’re whining I’m guessing you aren’t missing a paycheck

So what was your solution? How long did you expect people to go hungry or work without pay? What did you honestly think was going to happen? I don’t know if this will end up being a good deal or not, but the self flagellation is ridiculous

Ok, so what was your endgame? Let people continue to go hungry Let federal workers, who are just trying to do a good job, lose their jobs or continue to work without pay so you can feel smug and superior? The Republicans are now forced to vote on healthcare, or break their promise.

He got the ACA passed, there is only so much political capital a President has. How many lives has the ACA saved?

Sounds like someone with an agenda on this issue. I learned what I said from a lifetime of studying history, including from professors and military officers. The Japanese were prepared to fight pretty much to the death, including use of civilians. I’ve seen no credible info to support your version

That’s not true, Japan’s military leaders, who ran the country, were determined to fight. An invasion of Japan would have resulted in horrific casualties, on both sides. There was no “good” answer to end the war. Know your history.
