Forgot about this little piece I did as a test for the bigger one that is currently part of the Easy Tiger show at Farside in Hamilton. Been super reinvigorating to get back into physical art (not to mention use the supplied I've hoarded for decades)

I think I mostly like the cover, which is a digital painting I did in Rebelle 7 before taking it to Affinity Photo for some layer edits

Friend lent me an old Casio MG-510 guitar w/built-in MIDI. Here the strings are on different MIDI channels and triggering Deluge synths. Super fun! Might try a longer video/exploration, but definitely getting myself something to use more permanently as there's so much potential for nonsense

Been getting back into semi-regular sketching by way of @dimitrispanta.bsky.social's weekly Discord art challenges. I first joined in time for the "Pirate Queen" prompt and did a quick fountain pen portrait of Zheng Yi Sao, who was apparently one of the most successful pirates

Was asked to paint a pair of shoes for Hamilton Winterfest. Pretty happy with how they turned out (the theme was "space"). Should remember to post more art (which means I should remember to more drawing/painting)

I was so nervous during my set the other night but it seemed to go over well. After I was finished a lovely person I didn't recognize passed me a folded piece of paper with this drawing (and transcription of my awkward banter)

The "final" rig for tonight's Bay Mud set as part of Noise Night in Hamilton (8PM, Doors Pub). A rough plan of live ambient improv based on some loose ideas and tricks. Should be fun!
