These could be bargaining chips for supposed backdoor negotiations with Saudi. But it also cannot be ignored that Trump is bankrolled by Adelson, for whom this is an explicit priority.

Sinwar's logic seemed more to invite a devastating Israeli response so the Israeli state stands delegitimized globally. The internal political discord served its purpose to ensure there were absolutely no brakes on the Israeli annihilation machinery.

I am not sure if this is entirely accurate. Most reports indicate other members of the axis were generally in the dark about Oct 7, and when they did participate, it was rather tepid and reluctant. The only exception was the Houthi rebel group.

Um he’s got immunity now. I hope they go to prison, but this time seems different.

Prime example: "Palestinian affairs" reporters at most Israeli media houses

I mean, if they've not committed war crimes, why do they care? They don't have a right to visiting New Zealand. May be Israelis should develop a system of separating war criminals from, like, the rest of the population?
The US also asks visitors about military service, war crimes and trafficking.

This is how I see them: Jewish movements dedicated to the liberation of Palestine.

I saw a lot of Israelis during the genocide gravitate towards ST, but after your comment I checked their platform. Seems quite underwhelming?
They mention “end the occupation” like it’s 1970. Perhaps relevant for internal race relations, but I don’t see why the Palestine movement must embrace them.

For this, the specific dangers of Kahanism need to be explained. I understand they’re religious fanatics, but for instance, what distinguishes them from the non-religious plurality that desires to pursue apartheid and genocide anyway? It’s the “secular” IDF that enforces apartheid and starves Gaza.

This victory did not come cheap, as his party made concessions to partners to annex the Sinai, deport Arab clans from Damascus, and recognize new Jewish communities in Beirut. This is bound to raise eyebrows in Western capitals, but the PM is confident of retaining essential military support.

Halevi ran on an inclusive platform for all Israelis, Halachic or not, using symbol of a caged Arab child as a unifying message. His victory is a triumph of pragmatism against far-right rhetoric, arguing non-Halachic Jews are essential for farm labor, frontline duty, and keeping the birth rate high.
