A recent episode of ABC's Back Roads about the town of Harvey in WA troubles me. If I were a rabid right winger, I'd be claiming it as a success story for integration and the old White Australia Policy. If a loony leftie, Multiculturalism. Perhaps we should simply celebrate a successful community.

I'm just sick and tired of Labor's "Mediscare" campaign and the LNP's negative gearing scare tactics. When they come up with new policies that reflect the present position in the world such as a complete review of Australia's defence and of our current treaties, then I might consider voting for them

In the USA good people who could not bring themselves to vote for Harris BUT would NEVER vote for the alternative inadvertently caused this chaos. They simply didn't vote! There's a lot to be said for the 🇦🇺 system of compulsory voting. The price we have to pay for living in a democracy.
