I am a Professor of Computer Science at EPFL in Switzerland. My main research interests are in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Assisted Engineering, and Biomedical imaging.
There was about 100 km/h of wind over the Alps the other day. I went for a wave flight with Gab Bfe from Chambéry in France to Bolzano in Italy in his Stemme glider (About 800kms out and back). If you are interested in doing this yourself check out Gabriel's website www.soaring-adventures.eu
