Haha, yeah. A classic case of the toys being designed and then trying to figure out how to sell it to kids. They added a lot of stuff not even in the toys themselves. They had already made generic soldiers, they didn't want to alter them to fit the show.

One of my absolute favorite cartoons. Incredible opening and ending. Never did get the toys as a kid, but they looked awesome.
