I mean, there’s a bunch of nuance around this issue. But for big tech, I always thought they used the capitalization of R&D (vs. straight expense) in their favor to boost EPS and mkt cap. Also, there was a lot of over hiring. I’m not blaming these layoffs on the tax code.
