Gosh, that's lovely. My tulips tend to be eaten by squirrels - my chances of them lasting two years seem to be very low!

So you are doing it as 8 by 8 inch blocks? Do you have a planned structure to each block, or are they random?

I have generally kept African violets away from windows because of fluctuations in temperature but I am in the south of England and I have no idea what your weather is like - but if it gets noticeably colder at night than during the day, it might not like it. But give it a try!

African violet? Pick off the dead leaves, water a little every few days to keep the soil just moist.
