I have lots of these Dukes stereo extravaganzas. There was quite the Dixieland revival in the '50s-60s, which mostly boosted Pete Fountain and Al Hirt.

19. Will Friedwald, The Great Jazz and Pop Vocal Albums. No book I read this year brought me more joy or cost me more money in vinyl and CDs. It’s hard to hit the sweet spot between scholarship, enthusiasm and excellent taste but WF does it repeatedly here. A glorious swan song. CURTAIN.
