(4/5)It took me until I was 25 before I even understood that the feelings I had were not that of a crossdresser but of someone transgender. I didn't get off to wearing girl clothes, I just wanted to be a girl. I wasn't crazy for recognizing how sad I was before.

I think there is an immense misunderstanding in the US and the UK about both the necessity of and difficulty of restarting life as another gender.

(2/5)My life was impossible before hormones. It has reduced my panic attacks by 90% and their severity by half. It has made me happy and able to become educated and get a fulfilling job with loving friends and partners. Before living as a woman it was impossible for me to imagine that.

"My life has been irreversibly and positively changed by hormones for the past 8 years. I have had no significant side effects and find the idea of being "misled" about GAC from anyone other than Republican politicians and pundits ridiculous.
