HENCE THE ORIGINAL Q about injection molding! What I've seen used for joint pieces is TPU95 and again, alumilite mixes but I'm also keeping an eye out for things to try and experiment with bc I wanna try and do as much production on my own and under my own roof

Ya I gotcha 👍 a lot of it is working within the limitations of print resin itself as it's rather fragile/brittle on its own no matter what mix (& flex resin has its own complications in regards to printing, let alone when it's used as a mix) so it might just be I need to look at something different

I'm rambling and not explaining properly oops

I have a 3D resin printer I've experimented making toys with and it doesn't work very well for the joint pieces bc the resin is too brittle and just shatters when a joint is moved or manipulated

So I've been looking into alt materials and processes

Ok cool good to know! I've mainly just been experimenting with 3D print/UV resins and my printer so the mixes have been flex resin + ABS like and I was thinking what's used in a press would likely give better results than anything my printer can come up with

Oh fuck yes AWESOME bc the alt for me is resin printing the parts I need and then casting them in alumilite and I haven't personally tested that yet (trying various flex resin mixes has not yielded workable results)

Ok I gotta ask what type of injection molder you have/use bc I keep looking at getting a little desk sized one for custom toy joints

Alternatively I just make one massive book of all the porn one shot comics I've made since 2022 (there are so many)
