Trust matters. It matters if people feel politicians are lying to them, or getting away with wrongdoing. By changing our system, we can clean up politics and restore trust.

What is the Ministerial Code of Conduct?

The Ministerial Code is a set of guidelines of conduct for Government Ministers. Ministers are MPs and Members of the House of Lords

Only 14% of the public trust politicians to tell the truth. [source The Common Ground Report P.43] Lack of trust in politicians means people are less likely to get involved in democracy.

At Put People First we are calling for radical reform of the House of Lords to make sure politics is for everyone.
🤔Did you know? The bill to remove hereditary peers from the Lords has now reached the committee stage.

📢 We need to clean up politics so people are able to trust those who govern our country.

This means:
* Stopping the lying
* Reforming the House of Lords
* Stopping abuse of people in politics

These measures will clean up politics and help restore trust in our processes.
