My experience is living in a large "blue dot (350K+ population)" within a red state most of my life. Then I moved, and now live amidst the true "red state" life of fiscal hypocrisy and a plain, old "taker" mentality. It's the way of life for red states. My state in particular, except in Anchorage AK
