Not necessarily a board game, but me and my friends switched from DND 5e to Pathfinder 2 and we have never looked back, it's so good

This right here is exactly where I think Toby Fox excels at. Both undertale and deltarune are taking something as simple as your typical rpg and twisting it on its head both in terms of narrative and in gameplay that gives you a totally unique experience.
