Got a new LEGO Sonic set. Yeye I know I've been getting every Knuckles set, but the mech here looks cool! Almost gives me Egg Dragoon/Death Egg Robot vibes. I don't like the stupid as heck hoverboard though, they should've just given Knuckles a red version of those Speed Spheres.

On a slightly more positive note, I'm at least more than halfway through my OC DC Collab now. Finished one of my two entries, currently on the second one.

It's definitely, and surprisingly, one of the more difficult art pieces I've done and I got stuck a lot, but I'm getting through it!

A flashback on how much Tempest has developed over the years, both in terms of design, as well as story and character growth.

It's kind of a long read, sorry about that.
This was one of the first ever art pieces of Tempest done by a good friend Kit Krap. Back when Tempest was just a lightning user, his main trait was the ability to shift power from one part of his body to the other, making one area stronger and the other weaker. There was very little development or backstory for Tempest. He was meant to be a villain turned good, and trust me when I said there was a looooooot of bad ideas back then (He was supposed to be a ladies man, and constantly have a triage of men and women fawning over him. Thinking about it now... Eugh, I cringe). Tempest didn't have a lot of substance, and didn't contribute much in terms of story and or impact in a large respect. He was just kind of... There. Back then, I didn't think I ever expected Tempest to turn out to be as big of a character as he is today, so I never put a lot of effort. This was also back when I wasn't as confident in what I was writing, I wanted to keep things simple and watered down. I didn't want to take the attention away from other, more important characters or more important aspects of the story. I was holding myself back from making this character great. Looking back, this was really all my fault. I could've very easily made Tempest into what he is now 2 or 3 years ago if I hadn't always had an issue of confidence or bringing up a big idea. That brings us to today, with this fantastic art of Tempest in his Ultimate Form, done by Jinners4, an extremely talented artist, writer, and a close friend. He somehow took a chance on me to help work on his story, with his universe of characters. Suffice to say, I felt I was way out of my league, I felt like I was working with a pro. This talented artist, with a well established story? How could I ever contribute? We've had our ups and downs, but one thing I can absolutely say is we are friends first and foremost. It's rare we don't talk longer than a day, not even about story but just what happens in our daily lives. It's a great feeling to be able to work with your friend on what you love to do. Tempest has been through 2 different redesigns and currently a third is on the way. Now with a detailed background spanning to childhood, Tempest was born to a well known, wealthy family known for being extremely respected. That was until a mysterious figure killed his parents at the age of 5, left him for dead in the middle of winter, and left him on a dark path. After being on his own for 8 years, living off of scraps, nature and whatever he could get his hands on. He's picked up by family friends who foster him, only for them to also be murdered. He would remain alone until being picked up by the dangerous and cunning villain, Adrik. Alone, weak, guilt-ridden and feeling worthless, Tempest would use Adrik, his resources and his training to become a daring villain, as long as he does Adriks bidding. Definitely more detailed right? This is the result of years of putting time, swear and energy, working with Jin to create a backstory worthy of this character. He's an excellent writer himself, so there's a lot of ideas that come from him too. He deserves a lot of credit for helping not only Tempest, but Zaiya and my other OCs become who they are. Did you know it was his idea to make Tempest power Cosmic lightning? Anyways, I just wanted to share that.

The extra gripping on the triggers actually feels really nice to use. The ability to change how much the triggers move too is nice, but doing so really negates the haptic triggers. On the shortest travel you can barely do anything with the haptic.

Also why lock stick deadzones to the Elite?

Update: it feels almost exactly like a regular controller but the paddles on the back are fun to use. Wish I could have 4 instead of 2 though. A lot of the extra features are probably gonna go unused by most, unless they are extremely competitive.
