I’d like to believe but also Mother 3’s 20th anniversary is *next* year which would make more sense.
Though, I believe the whole of the Mother series is 30 this year.

It was announced as a “Janus Contemporaries” release at the time. Given some time I can dig the email out of my inbox. Then it won the Oscar and was quickly and quietly upgraded to a full Criterion. Janus (parent of Criterion) distributed it so they were gonna put it out one way or another

I will say that this is an issue only at specific theaters. I got a “Season Pass” to the Alamo Drafthouse for Xmas and they have a strict “you talk you get kicked out” policy. I’ve seen 18 movies there this year and I’ve had no issues. Go to an AMC once and…

Netflix’s strategy with the interactive stuff seemed… questionable at best. Notably they never rolled out the tech to do it on any Apple devices, as part of the ongoing Apple/Netflix war which certainly didn’t help their engagement numbers which made keeping stuff up… questionable

It’s probable! A lot of Spielberg films have been getting 4Ks, some great, some… questionable (his first ever TV film, Duel, has a 4K AI upscale…)

In theory you could take the files from Steam and load them into the iPad/iphone version of ScummVM since it’s an AGS game. I saw that detection for it was added to the GitHub this morning. It may run with issues (or be undetected as that hasn’t rolled out yet) but it’s a possibility

Iirc there was a study a while ago that vampire fiction tends to do better when the general public are afraid of people in power, and zombie fiction tends to do better when people are afraid of other people

That it is! It’s really really nice and they keep adding neat features to that. For example, they’ve repurposed the lyrics view from regular Apple Music to now deliver “real time liner notes” on classical pieces, so you get someone pointing out interesting bits of a piece as you listen!

Not to mention the audio quality, going up to 24/192 lossless as well as Atmos music for my surround setup.
