You should be able to. I managed R5 and R7 with free 4* outfits and R6 was a free 3* outfit from 1.1. R8 can done with Silvergale's + 5 of free Fresh/Adventure pieces. Needing SOM pieces is difficult if you're a beginner, but most older players should have emptied by now. Overall very F2P-friendly.

I also don't really understand what you mean about no compensation for 1.5. So far we've gotten 3 different compensation mails and there's an fourth one upcoming in mid-June.

Having a Crimson Feather piece definitely helps out but you don't need it. Pretty much every 4-star outfit can clear the current R8 on their own or with some free fill-in piece. That's definitely the case for Froggy Fashion for example.

Huh? I don't know where you got that Pinnacle was changed from every 14 to 21 days but it's the opposite. It was inconsistent before and it's now consistently held twice a month.

Ever since 1.3 first half, all R8 have been clearable entirely F2P, most of the time without even needing flat nodes (locked to post Silvergale's Aria's sketches). Sorry the pic is tiny, I'm on mobile but I can send the link to the Pinnacle Tracker sheet if you want.

So Castorice is the Firefly of 3.X, I guess every major new world from now on will have a Mary Sue that falls in love with the main character for no reason huh 😭 if I knew HSR was going to have these bad tropes I don't think I would've started playing it.

I haven't seen anyone talking about this yet, but after the Businesses and Hobbies update, Rings and Bracelets in CAS now also zoom in on the hands like Rings do. This bothered me a lot before, particularly Rings, so being able to see them close up is huge! #thesims #thesims4
