In case you haven't heard, the flu is seriously bad right now (in NC). Almost everyone I know locally either has had it, suspected they did, or has family or friends that have had it. 71 people have died in NC since October and 2 of them were kids. Please take precautions AND stay home if sick.

Monarch Butterfly has been proposed for listing under the US Endangered Species Act. The causes include habitat loss (especially milkweed, the monarch’s host plant), loss of overwintering sites, and widespread pesticide use.
