…and when the book was done, neither of us commented on the fact that his stutter had become significantly reduced by the end of it. We just talked about how silly and fun the story was and hoped we’d meet soon to do this again.

Then we returned to our read aloud, which halfway through became him reading to me - he told me he’s smarter than he appears and that his stutter made him sound stupid.
I told him he was doing just fine and that he’d made the story enjoyable with his comic timing. We carried on…

I was doing a read aloud with a young member when a parliamentarian came by for a visit. The kid asked me who he was and when I told him, he became excited thinking that the MP would talk about public libraries in the Rajya Sabha.
