It's not millions of people because most of the streamers we know are not huge huge creators. But if you got someone like mr beast to say "ah everyone move to bluesky" there'd be a flood

If a group of many streamers got together to move people to bluesky, you'd move a large amount
November 25, 2025 at 5:54 AM
Also people do spend money on streamers just cause they ask

Again I literally do the contents works whatever, I know how this game works too. It's for sure a percentages game but people absolutely do stuff because I ask which is why I try to be careful about asking for stuff

Post some main pics here and mention on twitter there's cool pics to see here. Heck, make a feed with people's fanart and go "hey, if you post fanart on bluesky I'll show it here"

Basically, we're not powerless. There just needs to be plans. Streamers have whole orgs/teams, it can be done

One tactic I used to get people to move places is to delay posts. Have events where posts are needed and using bluesky is the best way to get the posts first. Make stream notifications come here first and delay the other one by like 1hr or something. ->

And it didn't work because youtube's streaming setup sucks a lot. People do stream on tiktok now because tiktok's stream setup is good

Bluesky is basically a carbon copy of twitter without the same user base. Which means it can be easier to get people to come here ->

there are methods and actions that are possible to take

Acting like we don't have those undermines the actual special bits you have for streaming, for what it means to be humans who like other people's works

Youtube also tried to become the streaming platform by buying people... ->

not let every person be so apathetic that the worse people get to control everything

There is a lot of meaning in multiple people that a person trust saying "hey, this place is much nicer. It would be great if more people moved there"

That can be done with teams, with groups of streamer friends ->

It's not impossible to make backups. It's not impossible to make orgs have campaigns that influence people's decisions. There are things that can be done and should be done

Doesn't even require people giving up everything on the spot, but it does matter we as a society have the capacity to ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
that influence to do stuff

Acting like streamers are powerless is devaluing that value people have and that streamers have. This is a numbers game, and a numbers game can be played in ways that favor you.

Again, not an easy thing. But also again, it's not impossible to move people ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
That I could tell them directly they're doing a bad, but if there's no plan then ya they can do much

But streamers are people who influence others. That's the content. Now how they influence can change drastically, but it's still influence. There can still be plans that are made to use that ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
I get why creators use twitter blue to get an edge on their profits. It's still not a good thing, it's still a thing that those creators and others need to be making plans to remove themselves from. But it's understandable, there's people on that list that I like ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
to stop acting like company's and their algorithms are gods. They're tangible systems with their core mechanic being people

We all can change people, we're social animals. That's just how humans work. I'm not asking for magic nor am I ignore why people do the things they do ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
layer of additional rules that the company sets. I can tell when a post will do well long before it hits an actual big numbers. There are ways to pander BECAUSE people like being pandered to. People do have defaults, but those defaults can change or have additions

It's not easy, but we do need ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
I'm also a creator of things, I've also moved people over. This isn't some random high in the sky idea. I'm not dismissing the issues that come along side it, I'm saying there's doable action that can change outcomes

Right? Like algorithms are not magic, they're people's inputs + some ->
November 25, 2025 at 5:48 AM
Also idk if it's a thing teams do... but teams could have feeds alongside their start packs so people see stream notifications here

There's real tools here that twitter doesn't have that could be super useful if said streamers wanted to people to use them
November 25, 2025 at 5:12 AM
And again, a direct plan is to have an orgs/teams working together to move people over to bluesky or whatever as a campaign to say "hey streaming is unstable and doing this would help PLUS you get these cool features"

That's very doable. Streamers just gotta do it
November 25, 2025 at 5:10 AM
Streamers do have social capital, it's how they get people to spend money for themselves or charity, how they get people into discords, how they get people to meet them at cons, how they get people to engage in activities

Streamers can move people, it's just a matter of will and how many
November 25, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Also, twitter is run by a guy who will change the rules because some users dunks on him

It's a really bad site to just casually keep using without every audience member knowing you're disgruntled about it and where to go next
November 25, 2025 at 5:04 AM
If enough people move, more people move. If enough people are in one place, it's the default people go to

There is a real method of doing it, it just needs to be organized and that's a lot easier to do when you're a bigger creator
November 25, 2025 at 5:03 AM
I'm not saying it's easy, but it's doable. We do need to stop pretending we're all at the whims of an algorithm when we're talking about people

People use twitter for specific reasons, part of that is the people they follow

If they like people enough, they will move
November 25, 2025 at 5:03 AM
I am certain if a bunch of creators got together for a stream where users had to use some bluesky feature to get a thing, many would transfer over

There are whole streamer orgs that could do it all at once so people think "ah I really should move over". It's a literal advertising tactic
November 25, 2025 at 5:02 AM
Why are we playing this game of "ooo smol little bean"

It's fine to tell them they're doing a bad. Will they listen? probably not, but they're also gonna keep their current audience so they'll be fine
November 24, 2025 at 11:23 PM
with some of them having 10K+ on this site alone. One of them is even a wealthy person who went up in personal bezo's penis rocket stunt

I get where you're coming from, but the idea we pay a guy who actively is ruining the country and got people to "joke" about the nazi salute is like...
