In case anyone wanted to know what kind of human I am… I’m the kind of human who will be looking at a caterpillar with a friend and take a picture of a better angle to inform friend they must come to this side to look at the caterpillar as well. But I have a picture of the other angle. See reply.

Sweet aunty. She seemed stressed but glad she took a picture with me. She prayed for healing for our youth and put on a gathering years ago to prevent suicide. I think her prayers are coming true.

They were the only ones who originally lived on the island, and other Indians were brought to Mitchell Bay from other villages on Orcas and Lopez, for example. They disconnected the rest of W̱SÁNEĆ people from the San Juan Islands by establishing the Canada/US Border.

It was a good day for a Prayer Walk to protect the Salish Sea. We gathered on STOLȻEȽ, San Juan Island. Our French family were some of the last W̱SÁNEĆ people able to stay on STOLȻEȽ. They called us the Mitchell Bay Indians.
