That kind of power is too dangerous for governments, let alone corps or individuals

I don't think that you ever quite knew with Ballard. Never sure whether stuff was intentionally hallucinatory or just dryly written to the point of deliberate absurdity, or whether this was truly how the world just seemed to him, in its essence

Both can be true

Where's RFK when you need him?

Did you ever read Vineland? There's a real sweetness to that book, though old in the tooth and perhaps of its time... Lingering affection swaying critical sensibilities, sensei?

Loved Updike as a man-toddler. Still remember the language and the craft. Feel no need to reread or to recommend him. So much more interesting stuff now and more diverse and less predictable and better for it

I don't even remember subscribing to this but got the email so I guess I must have. Sorry for all of the time you guys put into this, and hopeful that you find some outlet for the work. Even the notion of the thing was a joy in itself, regardless of the outcome

Betcha if you club together with other folk in similar businesses and compare notes, then you'd find that a big fraction of these schemes never pay you back for what you had to pay to get into them.... and so you'd have been better buying actual lottery tix. Just saying

61. If you record PV capacity and only have room for one figure, record MW(DC), the module capacity. It tells you more about what the project will produce, how much land it needs, and what it will cost than MW(AC), which is just the size of the wire. I will die on this seemingly obscure hill.
