Im agreeing with you, just also making a comparison of how bad it is even without auto driving. We are absolutely fucked when it comes to cars and general lack of driving education.

Ive seen the fuck ups of auto driving and its awful, but some people do the same shit with a non functioning brain. I honestly just dont trust anything with cars, and here in the US we just sorta hand them out like oprah to every idiot alive. We dont even require drivers ed anymore, i hate it

I would support self driving cars only because most people at least in the US are too stupid to drive properly in the first place and a dumpster fire of an AI computer probably could do better. But i also dont believe any smart tech is actually that good either. It just makes for stupider people.
