the one major thing this theory does not account for is why gregory refers to himself as "dr rabbit" if he doesnt have a connection to rabbits, however i propose a hypothetical that VIP is a separate virus that existed in the plex since before the mimic took over the systems-

i think its interesting that the "wizard" and "animatronic supervillain" are referred to separately in the same paragraph, which ive always thought could imply they are separate entities, animatronic supervillain being the mimic and the wizard something else (VIP)

and then of course, gregory being the apprentice of the "wizard", VIP is dressed like a magician and has a magic wand, not outright the same but theyre both associated with magic in some way

mimic1 isnt the only virus that takes control over the animatronics - VIP is shown to do the same thing, so gregory having control of the glamrocks or them acting aggressive works under this idea too

i also think this might even be what happened with tony - he actually intended to play a game with him hence "cheering him up" but its a game he takes 'too far'

the MOE in VIP allows you to multiply your points, allowing you to gain way more in a short amount of time, potentially explaining the whole reason GGY has unreasonably high scores on all the arcades

another interesting detail is that devon is very specifically given TWO vip passes in order to bring a guest, GGY had "one by one" brought another person (the therapists) to the plex, and he wasnt sneaking them in, theyre listed OFFICIALLY in the system
