A photo I took 20 years ago in Poland. A corner of the enormous electrified barbed-wire fence at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Today marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Photos do no justice to the enormity of devastation and solemnity held within these now sacred grounds of remembrance.

I generally don’t care about the Oscars, but I’m always excited to see stop motion films nominated so the world can see them in all their pain-staking beauty! Congrats to Adam Elliot, Memoir of a Snail, and Aardman Animation, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl! #stopmotion #animation
