The Alien Enemies Act (AEA) hearing has concluded and the Trump Administration has been blocked NATIONWIDE for the next 14 days from using the AEA against “all non-citizens in US custody” subject to Trump’s Executive Order.

Holy crap. The DOJ is arguing that the President can unilaterally deport anyone he wants without ANY statutory authority, just on his inherent authority as President over national security.
That is a terrifying claim to make and not one that has ever been recognized before in US history.

The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled.
