Damn, KDS was awesome 💕 I desperately needed to be around a bunch of queer folx especially since OutlantaCon went under last year. I met so many awesome people and felt a bit less socially anxious than usual. Planning big things for next year 😈 Bork bork.

And since the Fet Gala is over, I've been working on stuff for the Ren Faire! A sporran, a leather Greenman mask (my first attempt at shaping leather), and two pouches made with some delicious oil tan and snakeskin accents. ⚔️

Some closeups of the leather Rush purse. I handsewed everything but the red accents and the zipper. It was a lot. I luckily had a vintage red and silver zipper in my stash that matched perfectly. I did add interior pockets, but sewed the piece with them on it upside down. 🥴 I'll fix that later.

Last night was the Fet Gala by Kink Down South and my look was "comically oversized things." Giant red hanky train, Rush purse, chunky harness and collar. I made everything except shirt, boots, pants and gloves. 😅

Next up in things I've made: new harness! Based on a harness from Junya Watanabe's Fall 2006 collection but without all the grommets. I love how modular and customizable it is. It's put together with Chicago screws so I can always change out hardware in the future.

Decided to take up leather work. Made my first pair of suspenders. Need to trim the ends and give em a nice clean and polish, but I'm happy with em! They hold these pants up nicely since the pants are just a bit big 🫠

These fuckers though 😭 The instep is so tight in this side, so I'm wearing em, heating em up and soaking them in mink oil. Hopefully I can break them before they break my foot. They're vintage Carolinas and so good. I don't want to get rid of them, so I'm gonna throw everything I can at them.
