Agreed 😔If I didn't know and love the book as much as I do, I think it would have been the film of the year for me. It's still pretty high on my ranking regardless but yeahhhhh. Very mixed feelings on it

Like I have Such a specific version of Book!Victor in my brain that no adaptation (that I've seen) has ever been able to capture accurately :(

I very much feel the same way 😭 Like I tried not to compare it to the book but oof....

Like there are soooo so so many things I loved about the film, but sooo many writing choices that irk me sadly 😭 I hope on a rewatch I can enjoy it more for what it is
