It doesn't matter whether or not he could have changed anything, no one forced him to take the job as CEO of a corrupt industry. He chose to profit off people's pain and suffering. Why should anyone care what his life was like b4 he made that choice?

That is not what the OP means by "shortens people's lives". They're talking about how health insurance is a for-profit business that routinely denies people life-saving care to increase profits. UHC denies more claims than any other insurer.
