Identity Death. While I do find it hot, I love TF as a way to tell a story about perspective. It leaves more to the imagination if someone now has to navigate a new experience. I do enjoy some new urges/patterns (new languages are fun too), but that TFee still needs agency.

I am by no means an Egyptologist. I have a BA in History, but we only discussed Africa in the context of slavery in the US, Brazil, and the Roman Empire in the classes I took. "Ancient History" people like to refer to their field as "Classical Studies" anyway. Still, it's all dope af.

It's really hard to describe "ancient Egypt". A common thing to point at is that ancient Egyptians studied even ancient-er Egyptians! When Plato was speaking in Athens, people in Egypt looked up at the big pointy rock and had many of our same questions because they're so fucking old.

Plus the craze came after over a millennium of the only thing most people heard about Egypt being that they were the bad guys to Moses. It's a lot more complicated than that, but basically it spawned the equivalent of suburban white moms saying "gracias" to the servers at the Chinese restaurant.

Yeah... while Napoleon's visit to Egypt facilitated the finding of the Rosetta stone and our understanding of hieroglyphics, that spawned an assload of disrespectful Egyptophiles. Or as I like to call them, "Pharaohboos". The reason Memphis, TN is called that can be traced to that craze as well.

Almost the inverse for me, but absolutely. My headcanon is that my WoL is super kind and caring to the point of neglecting her own needs, but a lot of the GPoses I take (and share) involve her in poses more typical of "cool" characters.

Would you believe that I followed you for Pony stuff waaaay back in the day? I've never really gotten into that fandom, but your art proved persuasive in making me appreciate the designs. The stuff you've posted recently is just icing on the cake!
