Increase protein intake:

As we age it’s especially important - our body becomes less effecient in utilising protein so we must consume more. Additionally, aim to consume protein that’s high in the amino acid leucine - this will help with your body's ability to build & maintain muscle.

Compound exercises AND cardio.
Stay functionally strong to maintain muscle mass by making compound exercises a staple in your workouts.

Take supplements:

While not an absolute necessity, certain supplements can be extremely beneficial for physique & health reasons as we age.
Supplements I'd recommend:
Creatine, Vit D3, Omega-3/Fish Oil, Multivitamin, Magnesium and Protein to supplement your food intake.

Optimise your testosterone:

T levels decline with age, but it's one of the key drivers to reducing bodyfat levels & increasing muscle mass. Get bloods done. There are natural ways to increase T levels if levels are within a certain range and there's TRT if you fall below these levels.
