I'M GLAD!! these guys are my uber specials ;w; !! they have SO much going on in their story. like!! the fact that they're both childhood friends and have been in love for so long, but could never bring it up. That gets way more complicated after The Incident and having this entity around.

their D&D story would follow a lot of similar beats!! but they'd just have the fun extra fantasy flavoring and mechanics. Spade becomes a warlock the minute he makes his deal with that original entity, in my head. and his pact is all abt gambling!!

It kills Heart for cheating, and Spade has to gamble for his soul back. (Spade gives up his own heart as a wager). Heart is revived, but he comes back wrong (a separate entity has clung to him and turned him into a vessel. It possesses him periodically)

Their story is abt grappling w this!!

This is Spade! He's not normally a tiefling, but he gets to be for this D&D version of himself (He's a warlock in this AU)

In canon, he's part of a duo of outlaw gamblers called The Jokers. They have a lengthy story, but the tldr is that they ended up at the wrong table and gambled with an entity.
