what’re you gonna play? i’ve been thinking about doing Dogs in the Vinyard but set in like a low fantasy traveling aristocratic court during a 30 Years War type situation. i want something that is mostly about relationships and intrigues instead of looting dungeons. The DitV ruleset is really cool

anyways apologies for the rant in a stale thread. i’m mostly doing this to sharpen my own thoughts.

palestine *is* and the palestinian people *should* be the focus of the struggle for independence and equality. but the jewish american diaspora provides *so much* material & political support to medinat yisrael that it HAS be accounted for. and “the broad left” is doing a dogshit job of this, imo.

it’s a tedious cycle of closed thinking that i’ve encountered On Here a few times. american jews are white therefore their history, insularity and sensitivities don’t matter. if they don’t immediately recognize and wholly reject the entire project of Medina Yisrael then that person is a nazi.

the same people who equate any “zionism” (an incredibly vague idea that includes things as abstract as “id like there to be a place where jewish people can be safe”) with nazi ideology and then we get to “so what do you do to nazis?” and then bam we have folks celebrating synagogue shootings.

this interaction pattern is pretty common and quite discouraging. you encounter a lot of this reductive thinking in the antizionist left and it’s kind of surprising how quickly it descends into implicit antisemitism and how angry people get when called out on that.
