Thank you for the support ♥♥
I just wanted to share this because these things happen sometimes regardless of how experienced you are in cosplay. Mistakes will happen. Accidents will happen!

These things happen it was an accident but it did pretty much ruin my previous work on it :(. So I've spent the last 2-3 days trying to fix it. Although due to trying to fix it quickly there is now some visual imperfections on the spork

I'm going for more of an A-line shape since I'll be adding all the details on with fabric and I thought this shape of skirt would better showcase that compared to a circle skirt with a poofy petticoat! ☺️ But again subject to change because I'm altering as I go!!

Been messing with the skirt all day! It still needs some work but I think it's going in the right direction? Also parts of the fabric here might look light in certain spots due to the lighting in my sewing room! ☺️

I also chopped off the extra part of this stopwatch and sanded it down! I sprayed the back silver so it would cover the clear part inside!

The trim turned out very lovely I think! 😊 I'm just pressing it with my iron since it got a bit wonky in the dye pot. I can't remember if I had sewn this trim or bought it but it's been in my scrap bin a while so I'm happy it can have some use 😊

And here is what it looks like! Keep in mind in this photo it's wet (wet fabric always looks slightly darker) but I think it's honestly very close and a lovely match! I'm super happy with the result its nice when something turns out the way you imagined it 😭

I used the entire bottle of the Kentucky Sky from earlier! I then went in and added 1/4 a bottle of Sapphire Blue! 😊

Dyeing Yuumas Fabric! I always find this process very fun I feel like a witch brewing a potion. Something to keep in mind is always make sure you are using a pot you do not use to make food for dying! I thrifted this 16 quart pot for $10 and I use it for crafting only!

This will also be my first time using latex ears for a cosplay! I decided since this is my major costume for this year might as well go all out! Although these were kindly bought for me off my wishlist for my birthday 🥹 !!

Went to my thrift store today because they had a 50% off sale and I picked up this pocket watch (it's definitely costume jewelry) but I thought it would make an amazing base for this little part of her costume 😊

😁😁

I wanted the horns to be just a bit more red! So I painted them! Still wanted the black parts to peek through so I'll likely go in with a paint pen and add a tiny bit back in! Then I'll be sealing them so they are a bit more shiny 😁

I have some white trim that I'm also going to be dyeing at the same time. It will be slightly a different blue than the costume due to the difference in the base colours but I'm hoping it will still look nice together!!!

Since I'm going for the 17.5 version of Yuuma I want a lighter blue. So I'll be starting out with Kentucky Sky and possibly adding in Sapphire after if it needs it! I have no idea what this fabric is made of but I'm taking a guess and assuming it's synthetic due to the feel!

Since this fabric was in the bins and in pieces normally it would cost me $1 per fabric piece but the ladies at the thrift were nice enough to give it all to me for only ONE DOLLAR! So it was kinda like buying an already cut fabric pattern for me to piece back together!!
January 7, 2026 at 7:03 PM
The fabric is an off-white colour so I'll be dying it. However due to the extreme fraying on some parts I needed to sew most of it back together. Due to being busy I didn't take too many photos but here is one from when it was mostly sewn back together.

After more than a month I have finally found some fabric for Yuuma. I was digging through the bins at the thrift and found pieces for a dress that had been cut apart. Fabric was really pretty and the pieces when sewn back together looked already a lot like Yuumas outfit.

I did also buy a pair of horns. I was originally planning on making them out of foam but these ones were cheap and hollow on the inside (so very light). They will need some paint and I'd like to do some kinda finish on them!! 😊

Don't have many updates right now since I'm mostly in the fabric buying stages. I have found fabric for her sleeves and her horn ribbons at the thrift store. I'm still looking for fabric for her outfit so fingers crossed I can find something I like 🥹

And she's done!! I finished the wings and attached her ears to the headband! I think it turned out pretty nicely! I also fixed some glue marks I hadn't noticed on her belt! I'll make a post on main tmrw 😊

Ears!! I also used a ring for the earring that I had in my beads / buttons jar! It's perfect I think! (Nothing is glued here yet)
