Godddd i wish they left more breadcrumbs of mel's other bloodline in season 1. It really took a hard right into "youre a wizard now harry" territory with not alot of exploration of sonething that could have been SO interesting. I dont want a conversation with fake kino, I WANT TO SEE IT MYSELF

Again, these are all wishes. This series cost 250 million dollars all of these asks would probably skyrocket the price into a 500 million dollars series.

Ekko too. I wanted to see more of his community and his life inside of zaun as he struggled so hard to patch up together his own kind of family. What is it like to be in the minds of people that organize action against crime in the city that the government doesn't have any insight or control over.

Thats my only wish I just wish everyone had more time to be fleshed out. Literally everyone. Mel's past with her family, viktors detachment from the humanity that he loves so much, Kaitlyn's war crimes, vi's time in prison, sevika and how she got onto a council seat in the first place?

Season two definitely had a "shoehorn" type feel because these characters now had to fulfil roles that were slightly out of the range of development that was already given to them. SEVIKA SHOULD HAVE HAD MORE SCENES! THEY ALSO SHOULD HAVE KEPT THOSE DELETED TIMEBOMB SCENES TOO!!

I'm sure writing arcane was an exceptionally difficult task because they are essentially writing backwards from completed characters in the LOL lore. Season one felt like they can start from scratch and build from the ground up so every moment felt very detailed and real.

It's also kind of crazy how the writers had to pluck three of the most important characters out of the plot to rapidly develop them in an isolated bubble and inject them back in with their character arc completed so they can finish the war. I did think it was done well but still.

The most personal scene between Mel and her mom is when Ambessa slaps her for implying Kino was a sacrifice. They both care about him deeply but in different ways and I felt that showed a lot about the both of them.

We get so many specifics and personal moments of different relationships in the show like with Jayce/Viktor or Vi/jinx or silco/jinx. We know exactly how these dynamics operate and the little quirks of each character as they feed into the relationship.

We should have gotten more scenes of Mel in childhood with her brother so we could see more of the family dynamic and a little bit more of Mel's personal side. There are many things that are implied but I just really wish it was shown.

I also wish we got more scenes of Mel's history. She's such an incredibly important character and yet I feel like we don't know many specifics about her past.

They really dropped the ball on the fascist storyline between the two cities and both sides had to ignore all their problems to face a greater enemy but that doesn't make them go away. It really was a "with the power of friendship" type situation.
