If any of them end up equal on points after Abu Dhabi, it will be decided on countback, where the current standings are:
Norris: 7 P1s, 6 P2s, 2 P3s
Verstappen: 7 P1s, 4 P2s, 2 P3s
Piastri: 7 P1s, 3 P2s, 4 P3s

If NOR finishes anywhere ahead of VER and PIA, he is Champion.
If NOR finishes anywhere on the podium, he is Champion.
If VER wins, NOR has to finish P4 or lower for VER to be Champion.
If PIA wins, NOR has to finish P6 or lower for PIA to be Champion.

McLaren has poached Red Bulls strategic boss Will Courtenay but he’s not permitted to join until mid 2026. McLaren tried to get him on the pit wall this season but Red Bulls would not grant him leave or waiver of 6 months gardening period.
