Bucks in 6.
Unclear why snow would make Waymo’s less safe than human-drivers.

It can’t possibly be any worse than the way people drive in Milwaukee in winter.

Perhaps you should reconsider your position if you’re unable to offer anything more than weak insults to differing viewpoints.

It’s very useful for my job, makes my 401k go up, and AI data center construction is bringing tons of badly-needed investment into my community.

Net positive by a wide margin.

Dangerous? Waymo is exponentially safer than human-driven cars.
December 24, 2025 at 12:14 AM
No, we should be replacing human-driven cars with Waymo’s.
December 24, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Human-driven cars kill millions of cat every year. All this shows is Waymo is way safer even for felines.
December 24, 2025 at 12:11 AM
I would much prefer for more cars on the road to be Waymo’s, they’re way safer for all involved parties.
December 24, 2025 at 12:10 AM
Why would we need a remotely comparable number of them on the roads to compare their safety to human-driven cars? That’s ridiculous, safety can be measured in ways beyond a total count of crashes.
December 24, 2025 at 12:09 AM
They are significantly safer than human-driven cars.
December 24, 2025 at 12:07 AM
Sure it does. Cars are inherently dangerous. It is impossible to build a multiton metal box that can travel 100+ miles an hour down the road with zero risk of ever killing someone.

Fortunately, Waymos are far, far safer than human drivers.
November 20, 2025 at 8:39 PM
Why should that matter more to me than the actual number of people killed in car crashes?
November 20, 2025 at 8:37 PM
But we have actual evidence showing Waymos are better at dealing with human unpredictability than actual human drivers. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
Comparison of Waymo Rider-Only crash rates by crash type to human benchmarks at 56.7 million miles
SAE Level 4 Automated Driving Systems (ADSs) are deployed on public roads, including Waymo’s Rider-Only (RO) ride-hailing service (without a driver behind the steering wheel). The objective of this...

We’re comparing cats being killed by cars to cats being killed by cars. That’s apples to apples.
November 6, 2025 at 12:44 PM
I thought the main issue here was animals being killed by cars?
November 6, 2025 at 6:57 AM
They are significantly safer than regular EV taxis right now in the status quo.
November 6, 2025 at 6:55 AM
Why? They’re way safer than human-driven Ubers.
November 6, 2025 at 6:53 AM
Human drivers kill over 5 million cats a year in the US and cars are very much still legal. Don’t hold your breath.
November 6, 2025 at 6:52 AM
Literally every study in the universe into Waymo’s safety finds they’re categorically safer than human drivers. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

Why do human drivers kill 5.4 million cars a year in the US if they are able to see and avoid them?
November 6, 2025 at 6:45 AM
What is soulless about that? America already accepts 45,000 deaths a year caused by human drivers, and we know for a fact that Waymos are much safer.
November 6, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Driverless cars are far, far safer to pedestrians, motorists, pets, and anyone else who uses public streets. Why on earth should we ban them?
November 6, 2025 at 6:43 AM
Human drivers kill way more pets than Waymo. It isn’t even close.
November 6, 2025 at 6:41 AM
Doesn’t matter to me as long as the line keeps going up.
