If it makes them fully flat broke having to live in a place they designed to hurt who they've become, maybe. But getting treasonous assholes who already probably have played "The Most Dangerous Game" makes a Napoleonic blandishment to people who have no actual life skills more apt and just.

It's sooo good. Reminds me of House of Cards but sort of inverse and opposite.

I just said I was in on Jerry Brown and Ann Richards. And I read the International Herald Tribune by then, thanks. American media was obviously compromised. And when I was EIC of my paper, I supported Bush's 1980 platform in the second term as that was more progressive than Clintons' DNC. Eat a dick

These people need to be put in prison as soon as humanly possible. Or dropped on a rock island in the harsh North Atlantic to fend for themselves. Either or.

Dammit.

I actually wondered if the company being satirized was based off Disney (Episodes too for that), especially after being a project manager for the business side. I know and have seen A LOT of evil in my life and that fucking place blew the others out of the water.

Right?! Funniest part was I predicted it would be a huge hit once streaming counted for ratings, just like the showrunner's first series - Andy Richter Controls The Universe (which you should seek out if you don't know it already). Amazing absurdism in all ways, shapes and forms.

I think you just changed my life with this information. Right on!

I think I actually need to have this shirt. I'll put it next to my "New Yorkers for Mamdani" ones that incidentally have led to some really fun conversations around the Bay area in the past few weeks.

I'd rather sit alone in the dark and watch the most traumatizing episodes of Black Mirror while way too high for that bleak dehumanized storyline and then cry myself to sleep before a 12-16 hour depression nap, thanks.

Considering they're suggesting Ukraine gives up Kiev to Russia, odds are he was just talking to Putin et al. on a couple of different speaker phones that technically would make this statement true.

Ha!

And fwiw, my friends and family who WERE 18 or older were all asking me who to back in the primaries because I had been paying attention for 12 years by then, got styrofoam out of fast food restaurants, helped end apartheid in South Africa and gave GM the idea for Geo and Saturn wayyy before then.

And I was 14. What's your fucking point? All the best kids in GenX had been political since Carter lost, and we got all sorts of shit done and managed through strategic boycotts, petitions and whisper campaigns. It's not my fault you chose to be obtuse. Just my problem due to your vote, apparently.

This is one of the best shows ever made. I got to be its web producer when it first came out in 2009 and was going to make a joke store on the site in conjunction with Staples or something like it that sold some of their weird products as branded merch, but it got pulled off the air from ABC.

Well I used to review pop culture for a living back when journalism paid more than $10 an article with promises of exposure for your talent, labor and shards of your soul and then quickly became the stomping grounds for rich kids with bad taste who desperately craved fame to make up for being hollow

Yeah. That's why we have history books, documentaries and entire industries built on this subject material.

This is such a beautiful essay and fantastic read. Your honesty here really brought a lot of life and light into me on a dreary Sunday afternoon. xoxo

He didn't look as good in black tights and a striped shirt, though, let alone a liquid line.

This is such a good album. I think I'll listen to it right now. Thank you for that reminder!
