Our #HorizonEU project is working on magneto-acoustic 3D bioprinting technologies to support human health on long-duration space missions — and to bring benefits back to healthcare on Earth. 🇪🇺

We will be in Bordeaux @dlr-en.bsky.social for a parabolic flight campaign organised by our partners at @uni-magdeburg.de through Novespace. 🤝

In our @horizoneu.bsky.social project, Alix is #bioprinting of cardiac iPSC-derived 3D in vitro models using space environment as a tool to study aging.

Her team at @merln-um.bsky.social support our consortium develop a magneto-acoustic 3D bioprinter for Earth and Space applications.

In session S22b “Bioprinting From Earth to Space” he will share how our team is developing magneto-acoustic levitation for biofabrication in microgravity, explore the principles behind this technique under Earth gravity, and explain how we are adapting our protocols for space mission scenarios.
