I'm trying it for the first time myself. Only watched the first episode so far and didn't think it was too bad, although the plot seemed to just fizzle out. Lots more wobbly sets than Doctor Who. Liked it enough to keep watching.

Production order is the best way to watch. Streaming and disc releases always present in broadcast order, which can be quite jarring with the earliest episodes.

5 seems to be the magic number for new Trek (unless you're Prodigy or Picard, but I know 3 was always the plan for the latter).

It's a fantastic episode and an interesting concept. A vengeance plot borne from the role Voyager had on helping the Borg get the better of species 8472 and how some civilisations were impacted by that act despite the arguably bigger threat 8472 posed.

One of my cars is around 3 years from being MOT exempt, but I still fully intend to keep putting it through them! It's the exemption from tax I'm more looking forward to.

The whole "strongest trek films are the even numbered ones" has really turned on its head since Nemesis.

I adore TMP. Probably my ultimate comfort Trek. I've always had a soft spot for Final Frontier, too.

The Blu-ray placeholder image says 4 discs, and the Steelbook says 3. I suspect 4 discs is more likely, as 3 of the discs would be a repress of the existing DVD release like The Daleks in colour had.

The Spearhead Blu-ray was quite different, grading wise, than the SE DVD. Will be interesting to see if the Collection version will have a grade more faithful to broadcast.
