Incredible debut in a series by #BeckyChambers - focuses on deeply getting to know the alien/human characters & their relationships, less about the intergalactic problems around them. Almost slice of life to me, I loved it & recently read the final book. 💔 Special place in my heart now. #booksky 💙📚

🚨attn horror luvrs🚨 #ItCameFromTheCloset is an essay collection on horror films analyzed by queer writers & while some of them are a stretch (very on brand for this niche, right?), I really loved it as a whole. I’ve heavily tested it as a ooky spooky gift option & it’s always well received. #booksky

ngl I was worried I romanticized this one/read it so young the racism went over my head, but pleased to say it holds up! More concerning: a librarian gifted me this before I left elementary school & whyyy did she devastate me like that?? My rural childhood self loved it but sheesh. #booksky

Novellas had a moment for me in 2024 & this #ClaireKeegan story was my fav. While not a 100% true story, it’s based on the real historical events of Ireland’s Magdalene Laundries. Just really interesting & full of feeling - I hope the movie does it justice, I still need to see it. #booksky

Novellas had a moment for me in 2024 & this #ClaireKeegan story was my fav. While not a 100% true story, it’s based on the real historical events of Ireland’s Magdalene Laundries. Just really interesting & full of feeling - I hope the movie does it justice, I still need to see it. #booksky
Mortician & Death Educator #CaitlinDoughty has 2 very different books that I loved equally. WMCEME?’s answers the hard hitting death related questions that only kids are brave enough to ask. SGIYE’s is part memoir, part funeral industry insider, part funny?? Idk how but she does it all. #booksky
