City of Heroes has this option and it's just the best! It even shows you what areas you've been to! It's fun to watch that change in real time as you travel around the cities.

Yeah that's weird. Have any of them actually shut down? Could just be a visual glitch; I've been getting them a lot at Mischief Night

Mine isn't shutting down. Wrong time of day for full maintenance
