"To take your chance in the thick of a rush, with firing all about,
Is nothing so bad when you've cover to 'and, an' leave an' likin' to shout;
But to stand an' be still to the Birken'ead drill is a damn tough bullet to chew,"

Solzhenitsyn's description of Soviet government was a warning, not a business strategy but you seem to make the lie the pillar of American business.

Went to the Piedmont Division of the NMRA's monthly meeting. This month we had a swap meet so I grapped two things for my layout.

I especially thrilled with Hellsgate Bridge kit from the old Aurora Postage Stamp trains line. The line from 1967 to 1973.

The bridge was introduced in 1968 for $2.

Today I started #GarbAugust book 2, The Glass Inferno, continuing my theme of the books behind Irwin Allen's 70s theatrical disaster movies.

Stayed up a bit past my bedtime to finish my first book of #GarbAugust: The Tower by Richard Martin Stern.

A good large cast novel. It was engaging and handled the inevitable downer at the end in a concise and not too graphic style.

Three stars, would recommend but won't read again.

Yesterday coming home from the office I took the long way, driving along the Georgia Road of CSX's Atlanta Terminal Subdivision in hopes of seeing some rail action.

I saw something good enough to stop and take photos.
