It’s shocking to me how his last term was not that long ago, within my small child’s lifetime, and somehow most people seem to have totally forgotten how absolutely bonkers bad things were. We are so screwed. So fucking screwed.

A woman I know here is a foster parent. Has been getting calls non stop to take in kids whose parents are being deported. It’s been one week. I don’t know how we are supposed to get through 4 years of this.

It’s as if they made a list of how to ruin the lives of brown and black people everywhere on earth and are putting them all into effect at once. It’s too much, yet, I know they want us to be in a cycle of outrage. I don’t want to give them what they want but this shit is insane.

I also wish this, and I wish the budgets were more doable. It’s a lot of work for little or no pay and starts to not be as much fun after a while.
